Now this is where an argument about 1080p -- real 1080p -- becomes worthwhile. A full 60-frame-per-second 1080p video would be awesome. Not because it's a higher resolution than 1080i, but because it's a higher frame rate (and not interlaced), so motion will be more detailed. However, it's highly unlikely most people would ever see a difference. Compression artifacts in the source or edge enhancement in the display are far more detrimental to the image than deinterlacing. Reducing either of those two factors would have a bigger effect on the image. Check out "When HD isn't HD" for more info on that. So with full 1080p, the subtle increase in motion detail isn't likely to be noticed.
Streaming a movie in Full HD requires about the same amount of bandwidth as downloading a movie in Full HD. However, downloading a movie stores a file on your device, so you can watch the file multiple times. If you stream the same movie twice, you will have to use twice as much data.

Streaming a movie in 4K may use less data than downloading it because the platform adjusts the download at various times over the course of the stream.

Yup. I agree with John. Streaming is just downloading very slowly (hopefully buffering is on,) displaying the results, and then deleting the results after being displayed. There is no difference between streaming and downloading, so why would you be able to stream and not download?
You gave a good reason, a full hard drive, but I was pointing out that the reason you gave might be solved by cleaning up your hard drive instead of getting a bigger drive, since it is likely causing more problems for you then being able to download a movie. Full hard drives lead to severe fragmentation and thrashing of the swap-file, which in turn lead to a slower machine.

Apple has updated its iTunes Movie Trailers app with several new features and upgrades. The biggest new feature is the ability to get push notifications when movies marked as favorites hit theaters or iTunes. The in-app movie reviews have also been tweaked. Where previously you could only see a movies overall Rotten Tomatoes rating, you can now read full reviews right from within the app.
